Docket Hopper reads the public record; Congress.gov remains the official source
Last updated November 4, 2026.
What this site is
An independent project that organizes public data about bills in Congress. It is not affiliated with Congress, the Library of Congress, the Congressional Research Service, the Government Publishing Office or the GDELT Project, and nothing here is legal, financial or political advice.
Accuracy
- Data updates once a night and can lag Congress.gov by a day or more. Check Congress.gov before relying on a bill's status.
- Passage odds are statistical estimates from past Congresses, shown as broad bands. They are not predictions about any one bill and should not be used for betting or trading.
- News coverage counts are approximate. Search can miss articles or count unrelated ones; see About the data for how they are made.
The site and its data are provided as is, without any warranty.
Reusing the data
Bill status records and CRS summaries are works of the U.S. government and are in the public domain. The nightly database is published with the site's code; please credit Docket Hopper and the original sources if you use it. News coverage data comes from the GDELT Project and follows its terms.
Corrections
Found an error? Open an issue on GitHub with the bill number and what looks wrong. Issues are public. Most errors come from the source data, so we'll check the record on Congress.gov and fix our copy or our code.
